In another act of ‘lockdown’ ingenuity, the new film from 1st Ave Machine for Bacardi follows three real roommates as they make the most of quarantining. Produced remotely, the trio played every role in the production including camera operators, set and costume designers, hair and makeup, etc.
Directed by Tucker Bliss for 1stAveMachine, it was Bacardi's first-ever remote shoot. To prepare the roommates, 1stAveMachine sent professional film and lighting equipment, decor, props and everything else the new filmmakers would need to achieve their mission, then taught them how to use it all via live video chats. The resulting film is the culmination of 30 hours of Zoom meetings and 2 days of shooting. Amazingly, no other crew were allowed on the set, leaving the trio to prove that even in lockdown, they can do what moves them! Check out the behind the scenes footage here.
