Unlisted and Alt.vfx welcomed members of Melbourne's creative industry last week for a special celebration of International Women’s Day. The event, held at the beautiful Buxton Contemporary in Southbank, brought together business owners, producers, directors, writers, designers and all in-between.
Friendships blossomed against the backdrop of artist Nadine Christiansen’s first major survey; Around. The varied and significant collection of works spans two decades of Christiansen’s practice, revealing her long engagement with the everyday art of life.
We thank all who came, supported, engaged and enjoyed - with extra thanks to our inspired speakers; Nadine, Charlotte (Director, Potter Museum of Art) and Sian (MWFF Festival Director). We also appreciate the kindness of William Mora Galleries for the generous donation of a Mirka Mora print. The accomplishments of trailblazers like Mirka Mora have laid the foundations for us, as women, to be bold and brave.
